2. Commonwealth Shared Scholarships


The Commonwealth Scholarship is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). As part of the UK’s ongoing commitment to the commonwealth, around 800 students are given the opportunity to undertake postgraduate degrees with UK universities annually. 3. Gates Cambridge Scholarship


The Gates Cambridge Scholarship started with a massive donation of 210 millon US dollars from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of Cambridge in October 2000. Annually, the Gates Cambridge Scholarship offers fully-funded scholarships to 80 outstanding applicants outside the UK, to pursue a full time postgraduate degree in any course available at the University of Cambridge. 4. The Royal Society Grants


The Royal Society is an independent scientific academy in the UK, that is dedicated to promoting excellence in science for the benefit of humanity. There are approximately 1,700 fellows and foreign members, including around 85 Nobel Laureates. 5. The Rhodes scholarship


The Rhodes Scholarship was established through the Will of Cecil John Rhodes in 1902.
