Lekki conservation centre, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Nigeria.
It was founded in 1990 by the Nigerian conservation foundation.
The reserve is home to a plethora of wildlife, including monkeys, tortoises, rare birds, and other wild animals.
It also has different species of plants.
It can be said to be a family park with the longest canopy walkway which is the longest in Africa.
The canopy walkway features six towers that rise from over 22 feet each.
They are connected by a series of suspended and swinging walkways that offer a unique 360-degree view of this part of the world from high above the treetops.
The canopy walk stretches to about 1,315 feet long.
The canopy walkway it’s quite an amazing adventure if you love heights. A marriage proposal up there would be unforgettable.
On the other hand, it’s not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems, people with heart problems, or other serious medical conditions.
There are other adventures you can do at LCC such as hiking, stepping Stones to cross waterways, swamp outlook, and treehouses.
There are also game sites such as the oversized chess board, checkers, table tennis, and there is also a space where you can play your games Incase you have any.
For someone who will love to have a seminar, conference, or lecture. There is a functioning auditorium in a cone-shaped structure suitable to have a meeting.
The LCC is a tourist center that is open to people of all ages from babies to adults although there are some restrictions on safety
The lekki conservation center is a tourist center you can visit at any time of the year but it is advisable to visit there during the dry season. This is because it is situated in a swampy area and there are some places you won’t be able to access if it’s raining.
The entrance fee is 1000 naira and this gives you access to everything except the canopy walk. The canopy walk incurs an extra charge of 1k too.
There are your guards available to take you around and also help you with the pros and cons of the conservation center.
While visiting the lekki conservation center. It’s advisable to wear a weather-appropriate dress. Since the weather is warm during the dry season it’s best to wear light clothes like Tees and shirts, hoodies or sweatshirts in the rainy season.
